I travel to Connecticut Monthly for business. I consistently eat at Founders. The service, table settings and staff are impeccable. The food is well presented, but most importantly always spot on. Texture, flavors, scents its a wonderful luncheon and dining experience. The restaurant is well decorated and most importantly - just friendly and lovely all around.

Dry Rub Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich

This is such a delicious chicken sandwich!!! Very different combination of flavors: chicken, pickles, slaw, bbq rub on an English Muffin!! You must try it! Samantha is a great server. She's attentive, polite and responds to requests immediately!

Warm Fresh New England Lobster Roll

Stuffed to the brim with delicious lobster meat and opted for the truffle fries. wonderfully paired together and reheated beautifully in an air fryer the next day as I was given such a large quantity of the truffle fries and it was worth every penny.

Baked Stuffed Lobster Tail

Went last night for my birthday. Really wanted a big stuffed lobster tail. It was amazing huge portion. Great Ritz cracker stuffing on top. Could not even finish my mashed potatoes.Everything was very tasty and well done. Will definitely be back.

Filet Mignon

The food was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere of the restaurant was ideal for a nice date nice. Overall it was a great nice, I would 10/10 recommended.

Pan Seared Salmon

First visit to Founders House. After a little difficulty trying to decide between several delicious-sounding entrees, I had the pan seared salmon last night and loved it! Probably one of the best versions of a salmon dish that I have ever had. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I had no idea what a coconut cake was, but now I'm obsessed. And the corn salsa added just the right amount of zest. The portions were so generous, I am enjoying the rest of it for lunch today. Soo good! In addition to a great meal, our server was fantastic. The interior of the restaurant was very inviting with its dark wood and banks of windows, sparkly light fixtures, cut-glass water glasses, and jazz & swing music playing at just the right volume.
